Personally, I like a lot of the music in the game, but I can understand getting a little tired of it. It's during those times I turn the music volume slider all the way down and instead open up Pandora in the background.

http://www.pandora.com/

It's an online radio service that's free. You can create a channel (or channels) based on what songs or bands you like and it will play music that's similar to your tastes.

Or if you have a decent selection of MP3s you enjoy, you could always play them in the background after turning the in-game music all the way down.

Sounds nice. Does that take up much resource from the comp?

Hey Bastard I just checked out Pandora and it's awesome. Thanks for the link.
FYI to everyone I'm using 26k DSL listening to Pandora with Guild Wars running, death leveling charr and no lag on any of the programs.

Pandora runs within IE or Firefox (or whatever browser you're using) -- so whatever resources your particular browser eats is to be considered. Insofar as network issues are concerned, I've never once noticed any significant lag while it's running, but I suppose it's possible. I've had it running with other games too (like BF2) and haven't noticed any network/lag issues with them either. [Last week was particularly laggy in Nightfall and Factions, but my guildmates reported the same.]

I normally play with XFire and TeamSpeak running at the same time as whatever game I am playing. Sometimes I also have Pandora up and running and the only network/lag related problems I've ever had to deal with have all been server side. Sure, my ISP has given me a hiccup here and there, but those have been area-wide and not because of anything I was running.

Again, I suppose it could be a resource hog (depending upon your browser choice) or a network resource hog (depending upon your ISP and anything else you may also be running), so use at your own risk.
